A PRAYER…ANYTIME

Could be morning or noonday

Could be evening or at night

No set time to stop and pray

Anytime would be alright

Speak to the Lord through out the day

He will listen to what you have to say

From the smallest situation

To the largest in the nation

God is here to guide you through

He knows best what you should do

God knows you better than you know yourself

He doesn’t want to be left sitting on a shelf

Take Him with you where ever you go

Let His light in you forever show

You do not face the day alone

Jesus brought us for His very own

Take your troubles, big or small

Give them to the Lord, He’ll solve them all

And when things are going really great

That’s the time, don’t hesitate

To thank the Lord for all He’s done

For the blessings He gave you one by one

He’s not just here to see you through

He wants your love and fellowship too

So give Him honor, and glory, and praise all the time

And He will give you true peace of mind…………

ANYTIME

A SONG…YOU ARE MY ROCK AND SHIELD

Ooh ooh Jesus

You are my rock and shield           (chorus)

          (repeat 4 times)

(verse 1)

You are my rock Lord,

               You are my solid ground

You are my strength Lord,

You are the hope I’ve found

You are my way Lord,

You lead me with your light

You are my eyes Lord,

You keep me in your sight

(verse 2)

You are my shield Lord,

You keep me safe from harm

You are my guide Lord,

You lead me by the arm

You are my pathway,

You are the one right road

You are my helper,

You help me bear my load

(verse 3)

You are my Savior,

                You wash away my sins

You are my swordsman,

                All battles you will win

You are my comfort,

You dry up all my tears

You are my courage,

I have no need to fear

( repeat chorus, fading out )

A POEM…THE VALUE OF TIME

Every second, every minute, every hour, every day

Every week, every month, every year slips away

Time moves on and on and on and on

Never to return, it’s here, then it’s gone

Looking back in time, there are things you would change

But it’s all for nothing, past times are out of range

We can’t go back and re-live yesterday

And all our tomorrows are uncertain to say

But what we can do with the time we are given

Use it wisely, not just for day to day living

Be as careful with your time as you are with your money

Give thought to your spending, not all days are sunny

We waste so much time because we think it is free

But we are mistaken, we’re as wrong as can be

The price for our time was paid for long ago

The price was so high, we couldn’t pay – don’t you know

Jesus paid the price with His life for you and me

When He was hung, and cursed, and died on a tree

The price was paid and although we weren’t there

What Jesus has paid for is ours to share

So let’s look at time as an expensive gift

Realize its value, and let our thinking shift

Our time is more precious than silver or gold

You cannot buy time, it’s already been sold

So take the time that God has given you

Always keeping in mind it has a true value

Use your time to do good for others

With God as our Father, we’re all sisters and brothers

Yes, use your time wisely, be a help to someone

Remembering time is judged by the SON

(Acts 3:19)

A POEM……THE JOB

Going to work each and every day

Working forty hours for one week’s pay

Punching a time clock and working till noon

Having a lunch hour that’s over too soon

Back at your station by a certain time

For if you’re late, you may lose a dime

Working real hard to make your quota

And do they care?  Not one iota

Working at home from sunrise to sunset

Monetary gain you will not get

Wanting your family to appreciate you

They don’t even notice all that you do

We run out of hours before our work is through

And that means tomorrow there’ll be extra to do

The daily routine starts to wear you down

What would they do were you not around

Working for Jesus to win lost souls

One by one is our only goal

So many people for us to reach

God’s Holy Word is what we teach

We may not receive silver or gold

But our reward is thirty, sixty, or a hundred fold

This is a job that comes from the heart

Positions available, when can you start ?

(Mark 10:29-30)

A SONG…..LIGHTHOUSE

(chorus) I want to be a lighthouse

I want to lead lost souls to You

I want to be a lighthouse

                And shine for You

                        (repeat)

                Shine for You

(verse 1)

I want to stand on the shores of life

Leading the people home to Christ

I want to be that distant star

That leads them to where you are

(verse 2)

I want to shine across the sea

It is Your light that shines through me

I want to be all I can be

And share Your light with all who see

(verse 3)

Jesus has dispelled the dark

His light shines forever

He has cleared the way for us

He won’t leave us , never

And His light will never dim

It glows with re-assurance

His light shinning in our lives

Helps to give endurance

(verse 4)

I want to shine like Jesus

I want you to see Him in me

I want to shine like Jesus

So others too can see

A POEM…I AM HIS CHILD

I was born, I was meant to be

But my mom and dad abandoned me

I was found by some strange man

He rescued me from a garbage can

I should have died or so they said

They can’t believe that I’m not dead

They poked and prodded and stuck me too

My little body was black and blue

They ran me through a hundred test

But whose was I, they could not guess

My parents names they did not know

So they just called me little Jane Doe

I cried a lot, cause I was scared

I felt as if no one cared

And then I felt this loving touch

My worries and fears didn’t seem so much

A still small voice whispered in my ear

Hush my child, your Father’s here

(Ephesians 1:2)

A POEM….THE EMPTY BOX

I have a box I want to fill

With things that show my God , His will

I want so much to do my part

To share my God from heart to heart

I tried to put God’s love inside

It would not fit, it’s too deep and wide

I tried to put His grace in place

The box was too small, not enough space

I know that His peace is no small matter

But in my box it began to shatter

And what would show how Christ redeems

Would bust my box at every seam

I want my box to show someone

To share the Father and the Son

I tried to fill it with the things

His love, His mercy, His grace will bring

I won’t give up, I will not quit

There must be something that will fit

And then God’s wisdom came to me

I began to understand, I began to see

God has no limits, He has no size

He is all knowing and oh so wise

My God is great, He is almighty

And that is why my box is empty

(1Corinthians 2:9)

A POEM…the Bible IS MY LOOKING GLASS

Mirror, mirror on the wall

Show my reflection, faults and all

Let me see what others see

When I look in, do I recognize me

Mirror, mirror in my hand

You can show me where I stand

Can you see Jesus inside of me

Am I all that Jesus wants me to be

Mirror, mirror God’s Holy Book

Jesus’ reflection is seen when you look

Instructions for life on every page

For all, young and old, for every age

The Bible is my looking glass

I look to it to help me pass

The trials of life that come and go

It’s Jesus’ reflection I want to show

Just as a mirror looks back at you

That’s what the Bible is here to do

Use the Bible to see yourself true

Don’t point it at others, like hypocrites do

A POEM…….OUTSIDE LOOKING IN

You’re on the outside looking in

You only see where I begin

You cannot see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

You see a vessel that He formed

You see a stage where life’s performed

But you can’t see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

You’re on the outside looking in

What you see is just my skin

You cannot see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

The outer shell is what you see

But there is so much more to me

You can’t see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

You’re on the outside looking in

You cannot see beyond my grin

You can’t see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

I have a body, mind, and soul

And in time I will grow old

But you can’t see the me inside

When you are looking through your eyes

(Matthew 22:29)
